Worksite Stretching

Are you looking for effective ways to help employees feel better at the end of a workday? Decrease your lost time days and associated costs? Decrease workers’ compensation and health claims costs associated with soft tissue injuries? Demonstrate a commitment to workplace health and safety to your employees? A Worksite Stretching program – and supporting worksite wellness and risk management policy - will help your entity achieve these outcomes. To produce a larger copy of this stretching poster, simply set your Printer Command to the size the printer can accommodate.

Office Ergonomics – Safety, Health, & Comfort

Approximately 50% of office work related claims are for ergonomic related injuries. Even if a workers’ compensation claim is not filed, an employer’s medical plan pays for associated medical costs for ergonomic related soft tissue injuries. Attention to simple and practical computer set-up guidelines combined with preventive worksite stretches will realize a large cost savings for both employers and employees. CIS has created an Office Ergonomics poster that employer groups can use to promote ergonomic health, safety, and comfort. To produce a larger copy of this stretching poster, simply set your Printer Command to the size the printer can accommodate.

CIS Risk Management Consultants are available to help you implement your worksite office ergonomic program and supporting policies. For assistance, contact Julie LaMarche at 503-763-3857; email jlamarche@cciservices.com.

Back Care Exercise Program

Back injuries continue to be the most frequent workers’ compensation injury type. Back pain continues to be the #2 reason (national statistic) Americans visit a medical provider. By popular employee request, CIS offers this Back and Core Strengthening exercise program. This poster illustrates a basic beginner’s back and abdominal flexibility and strengthening program. A strong and flexible “core” is the best insurance policy and prevention practice for avoiding back injury, strain, or pain.

Safe work practice guidelines and accurate Job Descriptions are also paramount to work place back injury prevention. CIS Risk Management Consultants are available to help you identify and implement effective injury prevention strategies and policies for your workplace. For assistance, contact Julie LaMarche at 503-763-3857; email jlamarche@cciservices.com.
